DETAILS
The DS-PRO is our drum shoe turned up to 11!
We combined a decade of drum shoe design and manufacturing experience to create our most dedicated drum shoe to date. A super thin, flexible combined midsole and outsole provide next level tactile feeling and grip on the pedals. The ergonomics of the outsole also help provide a natural motion to allow for hours of playing in comfort. A durable suede upper keeps the foot protected and shoe lasting through the rigors of touring. A six eyelet lacing system ensures a secure fit while mesh panels keep the foot cool and ventilated. For extra sweaty sessions, the inner sole can be removed to completely air out the shoe.
The DS-PRO is designed for the professional musician and those that won't settle for less.

My Review of the Vratim DS-Pro black
I received my pair of the DS pro shoes on May 26. Since then I have played several shows with them including a show at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. I play with several different bands and organizations at least 4 to 6 shows a week, sometimes more. One of the bands I play with is a Jimmy Buffett tribute that Tours all over the United States and Canada. For the past couple months I've been doing a lot of shows with them and I probably played 80% of the shows with the DS Pros. To get a source of reference, I play everything from small bars and clubs to medium to large church services to medium/large theaters and huge outdoor festivals. I really like the shoe. It's very lightweight and feels great on my feet. It did take a little bit of adjustment to get used to it, but I find that if I keep them very snug on my feet, they work better for me. The black collar would allow me to do anything from Church services to Black Thai events and even outdoor concerts. A really enjoyed how the shoes felt on my pedals. Mind you I am not a double bass drum player, but I did like the way the shoes kept me in contact with the pedals because of the thin soles. My only issue with the shoes would be that I don't always have the luxury of having a place to change shoes. And since they are not recommended to use for load ins, load outs and other walking around, especially on cement and concrete, I would have to bring a separate set of shoes to do load in, load out and other walking around. That's not a problem sometimes, but other times I don't have that convenience. I do wish that there could be some sort of happy medium between the thickness of the soul for drumming and possibly making it a little thicker for general purpose, walking around and so forth, but I understand why that may not be possible. I do like the look of the shoes and the Field of the shoes so again, that would be my only drawback. I intend on using them more and more. One of the things I was able to do is wear them on a couple of eight hour Recording session days. My feet felt fantastic after using them all day long and so I think they're awesome!

Perfect
These are my go to shoes now. I didn't think a shoe could make a difference in my playing but I seem to have more power and speed when I'm wearing them. They are also very comfortable.

Comfortable
I find these ds pros to be extremely comfortable and breathable as well. I noticed that after a couple of practice sessions, my feet really don’t sweat. It was as if I feet were sweat proof. I also noticed the firm and consistent grip it has on my pedals

Foot Health Expert Approved
After listening to a podcast about the importance of good foot health, flexibility, muscle control and toe dexterity-- it was made clear the supremacy of living barefoot--- but if you absolutely must put shoes on -- theres only one shoe worthy of your feet. Vratim. Worth every penny. Thanks guys. The hand-written TY note on receipt was the cherry. Good Job

Vratim DS-Pro Black
My first official "drum shoe"...extremely well made and they look GREAT(with as much Black as possible!?)....take a little getting used to vs. normal sneakers, but you know they put in the work to design these...my only slight complaint was I wish they did half- sizes...I sometimes take an 11, and sometimes an 11.5, in regular sneakers...12 is too big, obviously...11 is a just a tiny tad snug(no worries, nothing terrible), but they definitely connect you to your pedals in ways you haven't felt before...cheers!
