Thanks Vratim for comfortable drum shoe. I love it!!
I've been using Vratim shoes since the first model, and using this latest v2 model has continued to deliver that quality. The soles are comfortable and truly feel one with the pedals, they feel light on your feet, and the shoes in general feel comfortable to wear outside when not playing on stage too.
I got my shoes, two days after ordering and I use these shoes for everyday things, fit very comfortably and stylish.
I felt an instant difference first time I started playing with these shoes. My playing had never been so smooth and flawless. At band practice, songs that were normally difficult for me to play, I played with ease. I will definitely be wearing these when I record my next album in a few months. I truly hope Vratim never goes out of business because I want to play with these shoes for the rest of my life!
I've been playing drums for 20+ years, and in all that time, I had always just played in socks. Recently, a fellow drummer friend of mine had told me about Vratim and their shoes, and he persuaded me to give them a try. I was apprehensive at first, but that all went away as soon as I slipped them on. Right out of the box, the shoes felt very comfortable, and not bulky or heavy. As someone who uses the heel-toe technique, I was worried that the shoes would disrupt the natural motion of my ankles in doing that, such as feeling too bulky on my pedals, but I was happily surprised to see that they didn't get in the way or hinder my technique at all! They didn't require hardly much of a "breaking in" period before feeling as natural as when I would play in only my socks. The shoes are comfortable, slim fitting as to not disrupt the natural motion of my ankles while playing, keep a nice grip on my pedals while still allowing me to adjust my foot position as needed, and they just look very cool and stylish! I look forward to not having to spend that extra couple of minutes after a rehearsal or a gig to lace up my heavy boots so I can go about my business afterwards. Thanks, Vratim!
Easily the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn.
The search for the perfect drumming shoe is over! I waited a very long time to write a review for these to ensure I truly got the most out of these shoes and have enough experience to speak about them honestly. I was a bit skeptical of these at first but, after four years of practicing and performing exclusively in The Vratim Drum Shoe, I can 100% without a doubt say this is the one for me. Playing drums in anything else just feels...wrong. These are the perfect weight for my foot. Good amount of traction but you can still slide with them. Very "Flat" in the sole so it feels like there is little in the way between your foot and the pedals, yet, still absorbs shock. Holds up to an insane amount of abuse; still running with the OG pair from 4 years ago and haven't even washed them. Believe the hype on these and grab a pair. Looks cool and feels great on the pedals.
The most comfortable shoes I have purchased in a while, and made with such obvious quality and attention. And mind you, I AM NOT A DRUMMER, THATS HOW GOOD THESE SHOES ARE! And special thanks to Thomas from Vratim for taking such good care of me after I purchased the wrong size initially and needed to exchange them. He made the whole process super easy and his communication should be the standard on how customer service is graded. Kudos to Thomas and the Vratim team \m/
These shoes are absolutely incredible. I used to drum barefoot because I hated heavy shoes, and I would wear down the sole with how often I play. After having Vratim recommended to me by a friend, and trying his pair, I can't stop using them. Even when I practice casually there's a noticeable difference with and without the shoes. The pros: Stable, firm, and grippy soles to help your foot stay in place on your pedal, but light enough so you can easily pick up your foot and move it around. Very light and comfortable, I wore these shoes on a walk and they felt better than my regular sneakers. These things are also crazy durable. I got these during a winter tour on the west coast and put them through the ringer, now there's still not a mark on them. They've been through snow, ice, sand, mud, dust, etc. And all I have to do is gently wipe them off and they're back to looking brand new. The cons: If you have really high arches in your feet, these shoes are very flat, and while that's perfect for performances and playing, walking could get tiring if you have that issue, but all you'd need is a dr. Scholls pad or something you take out before playing and you have the perfect shoe! I will always push drummers to at least try these shoes. They are so worth it.
